Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl at NHMS

Written by on . Posted in News

The Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl (HRRB) for the North Georgia region was held at North Hall Middle School on Saturday, Feb. 7th, 2015.  This is the second year NHMS has hosted this praise-worthy event which encourages reading in all grade levels.  Judith Mancuso, Assistant Principal at Tadmore Elementary, Laura Seymour, gifted teacher at Riverbend Elementary and Karen Gurty, Media Specialist at Pickens County Middle School, were all coordinators for this massive event. Ginny Sapp, Media Specialist at NHMS, coordinated the facility needs for the HRRB.  Teams competed against each other using their knowledge of this year’s Georgia Children’s Book Award books.  Winners and runners-up in each grade level will go on to compete against winners in other regions of Georgia at a later date.
