Little Free Library Design Contest

LittleFreeLibrary1We’re getting a Little Free Library at our school!  It’s a small self-serve library which will be installed on our campus for easy drive up access.  If you are a student and want to enter our design contest, click on the link below and turn in your completed entry by May 3rd to Mrs. Sapp or Mrs. Mabry. Our art teacher, Laura Tucker will be painting the box according to the winning design entry.  If you would like to make a paperback donation to our mini-library, please send middle school-appropriate paperback books before school is out for the summer.

NHMS Student Wins County Spelling Bee

1st_PlaceWilliam Usrey has won 1st place in the Hall County Spelling Bee held at Blackshear Place Baptist Church on January 29, 2013!  William will now advance to the state level.  He is an 8th grader at NHMS.

North Hall STEM Club

microscopeKatie Rose Dione, 9th grade student at NHHS, is starting a STEM club for students interested in science.  NHHS Science teacher, Kenny Childs, is the sponsor and will help host these fun “Science Saturdays”.  The classes will be in Mr. Child’s Science Lab at NHHS.  Hours are 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon.  This is for both male and female students in 8th to 12th grades.  Students must attend NHMS or NHHS.  At this time there is no cost involved to participate, but may change if there are large numbers or extra supplies needed.  Students must pre-register by contacting Kenny.Childs@hallco.org .  Kathy Mellette can also answer any question for any 8th grade student at NHMS.

Yearbook Day

Yearbook Day will be Friday, May 10th.  Students who did not pre-order yearbooks my purchase one in the afternoon that day for $35, cash or check made payable to NHMS.

Colonel Lee Ellis
