2018, I was assistant principal and athletic director there, a position I held for seven rewarding years before leading North Hall Middle\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"320\" data-end=\"394\">My academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Maryville College, a Master\u2019s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Tennessee Tech University, and an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"396\" data-end=\"691\">Over the past year at North Hall Middle, I\u2019ve focused on building a collaborative and inclusive culture invested in student development and academic success. I\u2019m committed to strong communication, vision-driven leadership, and forming meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"762\">Thank you School.\u00a0 I attended both NHMS and NHHS as a student.<\/p>\n<p>I started my teaching career in 2006 at Gainesville Middle School.\u00a0 I have five years\u2019 experience in middle school teaching Social Studies, Physical Science, and Special Education.\u00a0 For the past 11 years I have been teaching at NHHS.\u00a0 The last four I have served as the Advanced Placement coordinator, department head and a member of the leadership team.<\/p>\n<p>I am married to my amazing wife, Suzanne, and we have two children, Will (9) and Caroline (6).\u00a0\u00a0 I am so excited to join the team at NHMS and look forward to working with you and your children.<\/p>\n<p>When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and any activity that lets me be serve my home community of North Hall.\u00a0 A proud graduate of North Hall High School, I attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.\u00a0 After graduating from Mercer with a B.A. in English and History, I received my teaching certification from The University of Georgia. I also have a Master of Arts degree in Middle Grades Social Studies as well as an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. In 2019, I received my Doctor of Education degree from Piedmont College in the area of Curriculum and Instruction.\u00a0 I am pursuing my Tier One Educational Leadership Certification through Pioneer RESA.<\/p>\n<p>Before entering the field of education, I worked in college admissions and information technology.\u00a0 I began my teaching career in 2007 at C. W.
