Kristin Finley
Principal
My professional career in Hall County actually began right here at North Hall Middle School where I was a teacher from 1995 to 2000. I stayed home with my children for a few years before returning to NHMS as a teacher and instructional coach until 2012. From 2012 to 2015 I transitioned to an assistant principal position at West Hall Middle before being named principal at East Hall Middle School where I enjoyed serving for the past four years.
My ties to this community include the fact that I am a proud graduate of North Hall High School. In 1991 I was awarded my B.S. in Education by the University of Tennessee. I have a M.A. in Middle Grades Mathematics from Piedmont College and my Ed.S. in Leadership is from Columbus State University. My first teaching job was in Trenton, GA at Dade Middle School (1991-1995).
I am excited to return to North Hall Middle and serve the community in which I live. My children both attended NHMS and NHHS and my husband also is a graduate of North Hall High. I look forward to joining our dedicated teachers and staff to provide all of our students with rigorous educational opportunities in a caring and supportive environment. It is my honor to serve as your principal, and I look forward to being a partner with families to support our students’ academic, social, and emotional growth during the middle school years.

I am honored and excited to be an assistant principal at North Hall Middle School. I attended both NHMS and NHHS as a student.
I started my teaching career in 2006 at Gainesville Middle School. I have five years’ experience in middle school teaching Social Studies, Physical Science, and Special Education. For the past 11 years I have been teaching at NHHS. The last four I have served as the Advanced Placement coordinator, department head and a member of the leadership team.
I am married to my amazing wife, Suzanne, and we have two children, Will (9) and Caroline (6). I am so excited to join the team at NHMS and look forward to working with you and your children.
When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and any activity that lets me be outdoors.

I am honored and excited to serve my home community of North Hall. A proud graduate of North Hall High School, I attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. After graduating from Mercer with a B.A. in English and History, I received my teaching certification from The University of Georgia. I also have a Master of Arts degree in Middle Grades Social Studies as well as an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. In 2019, I received my Doctor of Education degree from Piedmont College in the area of Curriculum and Instruction. I am pursuing my Tier One Educational Leadership Certification through Pioneer RESA.
Before entering the field of education, I worked in college admissions and information technology. I began my teaching career in 2007 at C. W. Davis Middle School in Flowery Branch where I taught 7th and 8th grade Social Studies, Science, and Math. I joined the faculty of North Hall Middle School in August 2014. During my time at NHMS, I have taught all three grade levels, multiple subjects, and have served our students and staff through various roles including E2 Co-Coordinator.
My husband and I have two sons who attend school in the North Hall cluster. I love being outdoors and traveling with my family. I have a deep love for students and am honored to serve our North Hall students, family, and community in my new role as Assistant Principal. Go Trojans!

Although I am originally from Michigan, I have lived in the North Hall community for several years. My husband is a NHHS graduate and north of my children attended NHMS and NHHS.
After serving five years in the United States Army, I attended Brenau University where I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education. I later attended Georgia State University where I earned my Master’s degree in Literacy, Language, and Literacy Education (ESOL). I also am working on my Tier I Educational Leadership add-on at Georgia State University. I spent nine years at Lyman Hall Elementary as a third and fifth grade teacher and the last five years here at NHMS as a sixth grade math teacher. I have also had the privilege of working as co-coordinator for the Edison Earhart Academy.
When I am not at work, I enjoy family time which could be anything from binge watching Netflix to time on the boat.
I am beyond excited to start this new chapter in leadership with the great team we have here at NHMS.
